CHARGING BULL
The Charging Bull is an iconic statue in New York City created by Sicilian-born artist Arturo Di Modica. The 7,100 pound Bull was originally dropped off as a Christmas present underneath the fresh-cut tree that had just been placed in the NY Stock Exchange on Dec. 15, 1989. It found a home near Bowling Green after intervention from NYC Mayor Ed Koch, and the Parks Commissioner.
Maestro Arturo Di Modica asked me to help market merchandise including smaller sculptures, as well as larger installation pieces, t-shirts, watches and other memorabilia from a new website. We built the original version in HTML5/CSS3 with an e-commerce integration with Chase Bank. After running some tests, we found the majority of his business came from email, so we made it very simple to order. Contact the studio via email to purchase merchandise.
Studio Di Modica has sold large bulls similar to the Wall St. Charging Bull to both Dubai and Shanghai selling for millions each. The Shanghai Bull is in the Bund district, though has a slightly more reddish colour, and of the same weight as the NY bull.
“Todd oversaw our paid marketing strategy with a close eye and strong attention to detail ensuring our budget spent turn into positive results – plus he is a great guy too!”
“Todd has built all of our websites. The new versions have outdone earlier versions in speed, design, and optimisation. He knows our digital presence inside out, managing all of our technical assets. “
“It is my pleasure to recommend Todd Hanlon as an art director. He wholly rebuilt our studio’s Charging Bull website from scratch. The result: a significant uptick in our web traffic, and more importantly – numerous viable sales leads.”
